We are seeking a skilled Truck/Equipment Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicles/equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Duties:
- Perform annual DOT inspections on trucks and trailers
- Troubleshoot problems, discussing with equipment manager options for making economical and durable repairs
- Maintain and repair heavy equipment, trucks, and equipment on a company wide basis
- Services vehicles/equipment to include oil changes, greasing, and adding fluids, changing filters and maintaining preventative maintenance schedules
- Adjust functional parts of devices, control instruments and all types of equipment
- Repair or replace defective parts
- Test equipment performance before and after repairs Operate and maintain field service truck
- Other duties as assigned
Skills:
- Proven experience as an Truck/Equipment Mechanic or similar role.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues effectively.
