Job Description

American BOA, Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC machines to produce high-quality components according to specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment in a dynamic manufacturing environment and the opportunity to develop programming skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC machines including lathes, mills, and grinders to perform machining operations such as turning, milling, and drilling.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure parts are produced within tolerance and quality standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues as they arise.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes and improve efficiency.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming and machine controls.
  • Ability to set up and operate CNC machines independently.
  • Familiarity with a variety of machining processes and materials.
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
