Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The Accounting Specialist will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing financial data, and supporting various accounting functions within the organization.

Responsibilities:

Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and expense reimbursements.

Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner. Reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions to ensure accuracy.

Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data and prepare reports to support decision-making processes. Identify trends, variances, and potential areas for improvement.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor budget vs. actual performance and provide insights to management.

Month-End and Year-End Close: Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.

Audit Support: Provide support during internal and external audits. Prepare documentation and assist auditors in reviewing financial records.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and best practices.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. Implement solutions to enhance productivity and accuracy.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as Finance, Operations, and Human Resources, to support business initiatives and resolve accounting-related issues.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices (GAAP).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial analysis.

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
