Our client is a leading global chemical manufacturing and ingredient distributor/provider of value added services to customers across a wide range of industries

Title: Lead Material Handler 
Location: Fresno, CA
Pay: $21-22/hr
Shift: M-F 5 AM to 1:30 PM (2 PM) Some OT possible
Contract to hire
 

• Material handlers are responsible for loading and unloading materials from trucks, containers, and storage racks. 

• They maintain accurate records of inventory levels, tracking incoming and outgoing shipments, and updating inventory systems accordingly. This may involve using computerized systems or manual record-keeping methods.

• Material handlers fulfill orders by selecting the correct items from inventory, packing them securely, and preparing them for shipment.

• Move materials within the warehouse or production area as needed, ensuring that items are stored in the appropriate locations and are easily accessible for retrieval.

• Material handlers inspect incoming and outgoing materials for damage, defects, or discrepancieses 

• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries. This includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), following safety procedures for equipment operation, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

• Work closely with other warehouse staff, including supervisors, inventory clerks, and shipping/receiving personnel, to coordinate activities and ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications: 

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be able to lift 50-75 lb
• 1 year of material handling experience
