Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist to support our client’s medical facility based in Shelby, NC 28150. This is a Contract job with a possible extension opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization

 

Location: Shelby, NC 28150

Job Type: 03-06 Months initially- W2 contract - with possible extension

Schedule – Monday - Friday 08:30 am – 05:30 pm

Pay Range: $17-$22 (Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.)

 

Responsibilities:

• Experience doing blood draws, labelling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Properly explains in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex. urine or fecal) as required.
• Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Package specimens for transport

 

Qualifications /Work Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
