Summary: Support divisional and project management functions by providing project cost management, cost analysis, scheduling, budgeting, and controls. Strong ability to work collaboratively with the management team while working on multiple projects.

Primary Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Interact with project teams including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, PM’s and upper management to ensure efficient and cost-effective utilization of time.

• Prepare overall schedules for various sized projects.

• Present and review project budgets and deadlines with project manager.

• Assist with updating projections on cash flows, staffing plans and contingency usage.

• Provide detailed cost/schedule reporting on daily or weekly updates as required.

• Coordinate payments to vendors and subcontractors.

• Monitor project to ensure it meets budget guidelines.

• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the interdependency of cost drivers.

• Generate accounting reports during and at the conclusion of the project.

• Oversee auditing of project financials when necessary.

• Ensure that the project review process and other quality control guidelines are followed.

• Provide critical assessment of all budgets and cost projections.

• Analyze invoices to ensure correct products/services were received at the expected cost.

• Understand the entire arc of the business and how productivity impacts profitability.

• Establishes controls and operating policies that identify, monitor, and mitigate risk factors that could impact the success of a project.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field preferred.

• 3-5 years of experience working in projects controls.

• Ability to generate budgets and reports.

• Ability to work with multiple functions to coordinate the flow of information.

• Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Advanced Excel Skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to communicate deliverables and requirements.

• Accuracy, thoroughness, and timeliness.

• Ability to provide support and assistance to co-workers as appropriate.

• Operational background required.
