Senior Electronics Engineer

As a Senior Electronics Engineer at SentriLock, you will be responsible for leading development and maintenance of electronic systems for our organization. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the innovation and reliability of our electronic products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to various projects, making a significant impact on our organization's success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Competency: Electronic Systems Design
• Create electronic schematics, circuit designs, and layouts for all projects.
• Select appropriate components and equipment based on project requirements.
• Identify and resolve electrical faults and malfunctions.
Competency: Embedded Firmware Systems Design
• Design and implement software on embedded devices and systems.
• Design and maintain secure Bluetooth profiles.
• Maintain and implement cryptographic protocols for data transmission and embedded software file signing.
• Identify and resolve embedded firmware faults and malfunctions.
Competency: Product Analysis
• Communicate with engineers and manufacturer’s technical support staff regarding product needs and performance.
• Aid testers and support personnel by defining test and troubleshooting procedures.
• Employ statistical analysis methods to identify patterns of product usage for proactive product failure assessment.
Competency: Project Planning
• Participate in project planning to define requirements, timelines, and objectives.
• Collaborate with test labs for all radio and import certifications across all sales territories.
• Maintain relationships with outside vendors to ensure best solution design and pricing.
• Aid in maintenance of internal engineering tools desktop programs.
Competency: Internal Support and Documentation
• Respond promptly and professionally to bug reports and support tickets.
• Prepare documentation to support product specifications and engineering processes according to ISO 9001 requirements.
• Participate in other projects as assigned by manager.
***This position requires 3-4 days in office in West Chester, OH***
Requirements:Educational Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Related Field, Required
Experience Requirements:
• 4-7 years of related experience, Required.
• 4-7 years embedded systems knowledge, Required.
Desired Skills:
• Troubleshooting and logical problem-solving skills
• Understanding of quality metrics and trends
• Embedded C software development (required)
• Circuit design and PCB layout (required)
• Scripting language experience (Python preferred)
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
