Responsibilities and Duties
- Completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, belts and outdoor power equipment
- STIHL Repair Certification preferred
- Following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments
- Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
- Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests
- Receives verbal or written orders from supervisor
- Excellent customer service skills
- Performs work according to standard procedure and by building's operational schedule
- Cleans all areas within in shop and supplies well organized
- Performs touch up and finish painting
- Sets up and tears down chairs, tables and equipment to hold meetings
- Follows all applicable safety rules and procedures
- Reports work accomplished orally or on written work order to supervisor
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Skills and Qualifications
- Self-Motivated
- Time Management
- Reading Comprehension
- Basic Equipment Maintenance and Repair
- Familiarity with a wide range of mechanical skills is preferred including electrical, welding, etc
- Ability to bend and lift in excess of 50 pounds
- Pre-employment drug test/background check will help assure we build teams of people who can best work with others and serve the needs of our customers.
