- $20/hr or more, depending on experience

- MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE LAYING OUT AND READING BLUE PRINTS FOR STAIRCASES, HANDRAILS

What you'll do as: Lay Fitter

 

- Using blueprints to layout and fit copes, bevels, angles, and plates

- Verifying conformance of workpieces to specifications

- Aligning and fitting parts according to specifications

- Operating welding equipment

- Studying engineering drawings and blueprints

Work Experience

The Preferred Candidate May Have:

• Math skills to translate blueprints into physical pieces that can be used for stair systems, handrails, etc.
• Measuring skills to take accurate, precise measurements of materials and to follow schematics and blueprints
• Attention to detail to follow precise plans and assemble rails, stairs, etc.
• Analytical skills to interpret blueprints and construct stair system as designed on paper
• Experience in stairs, handrails and rolled steel is a PLUS
• Steel-toed boots/shoes
