Fire Sprinkler Designer

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Fire Sprinkler Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing fire sprinkler systems for commercial, residential, and industrial projects. You will be responsible for creating detailed plans and specifications to ensure our systems meet all relevant codes and standards.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design fire sprinkler systems using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, HydraCAD)
- Develop detailed plans, layouts, and schematics based on project specifications and client requirements
- Ensure designs comply with NFPA standards, local codes, and regulations
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project scope and requirements
- Conduct hydraulic calculations and material take-offs
- Prepare submittal packages for approval by authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs)
- Coordinate with installation teams to ensure designs are accurately implemented
- Perform site visits as needed to gather information and verify design requirements
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices
**Qualifications:**
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fire sprinkler design preferred.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and hydraulic calculation tools
- Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and local building codes
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- NICET certification in Water-Based System Layout (Level II or higher) is preferred
