Electrician Job Summary

We have an immediate opening for an experienced Electrician. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems, as well as electrical components for industrial machinery. We work with both residential and commercial clients, so you must be able to diagnose and repair electrical wiring problems in a variety of homes and commercial buildings, such as outlets, lighting, servers, and electronic equipment connections. Our ideal candidate has at least three years of professional experience and has extensive knowledge of different types of electrical networks.

Electrician Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review job calls each day
  • Identify electrical problem areas on-site that need replacement or repair
  • Perform repair or replace wiring when necessary
  • Troubleshoot and ensure that the electrical system is working properly before leaving client location
  • Maintain and store tools and equipment properly

Electrician Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of electrician experience preferred
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Proficient with standard industry tools and techniques
  • Able to read blueprints and schematic drawings
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a strong work ethic

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Weekly pay; Negotiable at interview (Depending on Experience)

Rushing Electric became incorporated in 1985 at 1119 E. North 36th Street, Savannah, Georgia, where Tom Rushing purchased a building and two lots in Savannah, Ga. to run his business.
As the business grew and required more people, the number of employees increased to 28. Rushing Electric started out doing restoration electrical work in the old homes in downtown Savannah, GA. Commercial work included Hardee’s, Burger King, Popeye’s Chicken, McDonald’s, El Cheapo Gas Stations, Shell Gas Stations, a convenience store at Fort Stewart, and Youth Activity Center with the Corps of Engineers at Ft. Stewart. Rushing Electric has done almost every aspect of the electrical field including new installation, repairs and service work for residential, commercial and industrial jobs.
In 2001, Tom Rushing bought a 5600 square foot building in Garden City at 411 Highway 80, West, and moved to this location on June 11th.
