Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Assembler

Job Summary: Join our production team as an Assembler/Solderer, focusing on electro-mechanical assembly, soldering, and in-process inspections. This role requires meticulous assembly and soldering, adhering to our established manufacturing procedures and policies.

Job Functions: Beyond basic assembly duties, your responsibilities will include:

  • Automated Optical Inspection (AOI): Using AOI systems to ensure product quality and identify defects.
  • Soldering: Executing detailed soldering tasks to join components precisely.
  • Special Assembly: Managing specialized assembly tasks requiring unique skills.
  • Ball Grid Array (BGA) X-ray: Performing X-ray inspections on BGA components to verify proper soldering and placement.
  • Wire Crimping, Pull Testing, and Connector Assembly: Assembling wires, crimping, pull testing, and fitting connectors.
  • Continuity Testing: Verifying electrical continuity to ensure circuit functionality.
  • Harness Assembly (No Solder Required): Building cable harnesses according to specified guidelines.
  • Conformal Coat Rework/Touchup: Reworking and touching up conformal coatings to meet quality standards.
  • In-Process Inspection: Conducting routine inspections during assembly to ensure high-quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: At least three (3) years in an electrical/electronic assembly environment with a focus on soldering.

Required Certifications:

  • J-STD-001 CIS (Modules 1-5): Certification in soldering practices and standards.
  • IPC-A-610 CIS (All Modules): Certification in the acceptability of electronic assemblies.
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 (Modules 1, 2, 4 & 8): Certification in requirements and acceptance for cable and wire harness assemblies.
  • Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Training: Knowledge and adherence to ESD safety procedures.
  • Counterfeit Component Identification: Skills in identifying counterfeit electronic components.
  • Right to Know/Safety: Understanding of workplace safety regulations.
  • Moisture Sensitive Devices (MSD) Handling: Knowledge in handling and processing MSDs.
  • Foreign Object Debris/Damage (FOD): Awareness and prevention of FOD in the production environment.

Education and Experience:

  • Preferred Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred Experience:
    • A minimum of 3 years of assembly experience.
    • At least 3 years of mechanical knowledge in a similar role.
