Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking GA Pre-K Lead & Assistant Teachers to join our organization These individuals will coordinate an age-appropriate curriculum and manage the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom.

Responsibilities (Lead Teachers):

  • Instruct prekindergarten-aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
  • Create a fun and safe learning environment
  • Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, parents and staff
  • Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress
  • Maintain the health and safety of all students 
  • Effectively guide assistant teachers to ensure they are following planned activities, hygiene and safety standards
  • Maintain child portfolios and participate in ongoing observation-based assessments in order to assess the developmental levels of the children using BFTS Work Sampling Online- assessment for the children

Responsibilities (Assistant Teachers):

  • Support the Lead Teachers in planning and implementing the daily program for children
  • Supervise the class when the Lead Teacher is out of the room
  • Help with meals, safety and assist in maintaining a fun and interactive classroom that is clean and organized

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields is a plus
  • A minimum Child Development Associate certification or other Early Childhood Education degree required for Lead Teachers
  • Must be passionate about working with children
  • Ability to build rapport with children
  • Positive and patient demeanor
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High energy and the ability to work well with others and foster a team environment
