Team US Advisors is seeking a part-time experiened Environmental Health and Safety Subject Matter Expert (SME) with background in OSHA management to join our team supporting the Department of Homeland Security in the national captial region You will be responsible for the management and delivery of compliance projects for our client across various workstreams: planning, organizing, reporting status, deliverables, and schedules to the Government.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide suggestions and expertise in environmental health and safety protocols, methods, and techniques for clients spread across the United States.
  • Develop, review, and update inspection tools for programs as requested by the client.
  • Provide environmental health and safety inspection reports within 30 calendar days of completing each inspection.
  • Report serious compliance issues or events relating to life or safety issues to the client within 1 hour of observation.
  • Provide recommendations on improving client safety protocols and the OSHA inspection process, including changes to the standards that the client manages for their facilities and operations.
  • Provide analytical support of client safety operations and trends, including trend analysis as necessary.
  • Prepare briefings (PowerPoint format) of compliance reviews and provide monthly and annual compliance reports.
  • Provide technical training support to workplace leads at client sites.
  • Work with subject matter experts in the continued development of resource material for client OSHA protocols.
  • Develops high-visibility, multifaceted documents using various guidelines and other program identified resources to meet identified program objectives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current DHS Public Trust clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study required, Master's degree preferred
  • At least ten (10) or more years of relevant experience in OSHA and other environmental health and safety protocols used by the Federal Government.
  • Experience defining all client project actvities and milestones required to meet objectives and deliverables, properly sequencing tasks and estimating effort with program team members doing the work, determining the critical path, and leveling the project schedule.
  • Experience monitoring project execution to identify obstacles and deviations from plan and takes corrective action as needed.
  • Experience conducting continuous risk assessment and management including developing measures to reduce risk in project execution.
  • Experience developing metrics and reports for tracking project execution.
