As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse. You will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping merchandise or materials. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the overall success of our warehouse operations.

Responsibilities:
1. Receiving:
- Receive incoming shipments, verifying their contents against purchase orders or invoices.
- Inspect shipments for damage and report discrepancies or damages to the appropriate personnel.
- Unload trucks and transport merchandise to designated storage areas.

2. Storage:
- Ensure proper storage of merchandise to maximize space utilization and efficiency.
- Label and tag items for easy identification and retrieval.
- Organize and maintain inventory records using manual or computerized systems.

3. Picking and Packing:
- Retrieve items from shelves or storage areas based on pick tickets or orders.
- Pack orders securely and accurately to prevent damage during transit.
- Prepare shipping labels and arrange shipments with appropriate carriers.

4. Shipping:
- Coordinate outgoing shipments, including loading trucks and completing necessary documentation.
- Verify shipping documents and ensure orders are shipped on time.
- Communicate any delays or issues with shipping to relevant parties.

5. Inventory Management:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or excesses to management.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.

6. Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Follow proper procedures for handling hazardous materials or equipment.
- Comply with company policies and procedures regarding warehouse operations.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience working in a warehouse or similar environment preferred.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks (training provided if necessary).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management and shipping software.
- Physical stamina to lift and move heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
