JQ Staffing Services is seeking a dedicated and reliable Cemetery Groundskeeper to join our team. As a Groundskeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cemetery grounds and ensuring they are a place of tranquility and respect for visitors and loved ones.

Key Responsibilities:

• Grounds Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance of cemetery grounds, including mowing, trimming, edging, and weeding to ensure a clean and well-kept appearance.
• Landscape Care: Assist in planting and caring for trees, shrubs, and flowers, and maintain landscape features and hardscapes.
• Clean-Up: Remove litter and debris from grounds, and maintain cleanliness around monuments and pathways.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers.
• Repairs and Upkeep: Conduct minor repairs and maintenance on cemetery structures, such as pathways and fences.
• Customer Service: Provide courteous and respectful assistance to visitors and address any concerns or requests they may have.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment usage, and any incidents or issues that arise.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or a related field preferred.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of grounds maintenance techniques, equipment operation, and landscape care.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting and carrying heavy materials up to 80lbs, and working in various weather conditions including snow removal.
• Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and respectful environment.
• Communication: Good communication skills and ability to interact professionally with visitors and team members.
• Certifications: Valid driver’s license and any relevant certifications (e.g., landscaping, equipment operation) are a plus.
