Qualifications

•Basic knowledge of dog breeds, behavior, and common grooming practices

•Ability to handle and restrain pets of various sizes and temperaments with care and compassion

•Strong communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with pet parents and team members

•Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy pets and perform repetitive tasks

•Position requires bending, kneeling, lifting (up to 70 pounds, as necessary) and standing for long periods of time

•Proven experience as a Pet Groomer or similar role

•Knowledge of different grooming techniques for various types of pets

•Excellent skills with a focus on client satisfaction

•Willingness to work in a smoke-free environment

•Problem-solving

•Attention to detail

•Ability to self-critique; hold oneself and others to high standards of grooming

Responsibilities

•As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for grooming various types of pets, ensuring their well-being, and delivering excellent customer service

•Perform grooming services such as bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling pets according to breed standards or pet owner preferences

•Handle animals with care and compassion, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the grooming process

•Provide nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other grooming-related services as needed

•Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including grooming tools and equipment

•Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming requirements and preferences
