Our client is seeking an IT Infrastructure & Security Manager to join their team
As the IT Infrastructure & Security Manager, you will oversee all aspects of our client's IT infrastructure and security, including Service Desk, network systems, telecom, disaster recovery, and more, whether managed internally or by third parties. Their infrastructure encompasses network switches, routers, firewalls, servers, hardware, software, end-user workstations, and profiles across multiple locations, including mobile dental clinics. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional and prompt customer service, resolving technical issues, and providing ongoing user training.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the management of a multi-site IT environment that includes mobile dental clinics.
- Maintain local, metro, and wide area network hardware, software, and firmware to ensure a secure and reliable environment for servers, switches, routers, access points, workstations, laptops, and printers.
- Manage the Cisco Meraki ecosystem, including firewalls, network appliances, and security systems.
- Supervise information security measures and policies, ensuring data security compliance, including HIPAA when applicable.
- Lead the Service Desk operations, including supervising two Help Desk Tech II staff members, managing processes, and gathering customer feedback.
- Administer network servers (both physical and virtual), resolve hardware/software performance issues, and oversee the installation of necessary patches and updates.
- Identify technology needs and opportunities for network improvements, recommending solutions for hardware and software acquisitions.
- Manage backup applications, file backups, and updates for security software.
- Administer MS Exchange Online, Office 365, MS Azure, Box.com, and other cloud-based services utilized by the Foundation.
- Establish standards for the management of user accounts, email mailboxes, and recipient lists.
- Oversee the evaluation, setup, and maintenance of PCs, hardware, and software applications.
- Coordinate service repairs.
- Assist the IT Director in budgeting, planning annual systems, and maintaining an inventory of hardware and software.
- Compile and distribute reports on project status, metrics, and operational performance.
- Drive continuous performance enhancements.
- Provide ongoing tech training to staff.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- At least five years of professional experience supporting networks and hardware/software.
- Minimum three years of experience managing technical teams.
- Proficiency in VMware, Microsoft Azure, O365, Exchange, Windows Server, Linux, and Windows workstations within a networked environment.
- Proven track record of maintaining server performance, installing network services, and troubleshooting PC issues.
- Ability to train users with varying tech skills in new and existing applications.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access).
- Strong support skills in computer applications like Windows, Office, Box.com, and Veeam.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel within five Central Texas counties, including occasional nights and weekends.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Seven years of experience supporting networks, hardware, and software.
- Experience in the healthcare industry with a focus on HIPAA compliance.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or credentials from Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, ITIL, or ISACA.
- Experience working with Managed Service Providers (MSP).
- Proven ability to develop and implement technology strategies.
