Responsibilities:

  1. Perform physical examinations, review medical histories, and create individualized, cost-effective treatment plans based on patients' individual needs.
  2. Develop care plans using a variety of treatment techniques which provide a wide range of physical therapy treatments, including exercises, manual therapy, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation.
  3. Motivate patients during treatment in order to help them function optimally.
  4. Ensure to monitor patients' progress throughout their treatment and adjust their treatment plans as necessary.
  5. Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals such as nurses, doctors, PTA occupational therapists and speech therapists.
  6. Providing education and support to patients and their families.
  7. May need to supervise other physical therapists and provide mentorship and guidance to help them improve their skills.
  8. Maintain the records of patients and effectively document.

 

Qualifications

  • A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree/ Master In Physical Therapy / Bachelor in Physical Therapy.
  • Holds a active NJ license in PT.
  • 5+ years of experience within PT.
  • Candidate should be flexible to work in adult day care Facility.
