Maintenance Manager - Forging

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Our client is a leading manufacturer of custom Forged products in the Philadelphia area.

About the Role:

Essential Responsibilities:

Maintain Equipment

· Utilize company Preventive Maintenance software Maintenance Pro to schedule and issue work orders to maintenance personnel.

· Work with third-party vendors to maintain presses, saws and CNC machines.

· Schedule preventative maintenance and repair shutdowns with the Plant Manager.

· Measure and track equipment performance.

· Minimize equipment downtime.

· Responsible for equipment installation and removal.

Purchasing

· Submit purchase order requisitions for supplies, parts, spare parts, and equipment.

· Submit annual capital expenditure proposal to management.

· Ensure maintenance / repairs and supplies and expenses are within budget.

Subcontractor Management

· Work with subcontractors on site who will assist with preventative maintenance activities and repairs.

· Work with outside contractors to ensure projects are performed correctly and in a timely manner.

Ensure Facility Complies with Regulations

· Responsible for ensuring the facility is compliant with the relevant regulations and that regular check-ups are carried out to verify that machinery and processes are safe.

· Responsible for facility environmental compliance with regulations; work with safety consultants.

Property Maintenance

· Responsible for the maintenance of buildings and property infrastructure.

 

Requirements:

· Experience managing maintenance of an industrial manufacturing business.

· A passion for owning a business process and making it better – every day.

· Experience working with ERP systems and strong Excel skills (use of Pivot tables, vlookup, etc.)
