Our client is seeking a  Quality Control (QC) Inspector for our receiving department. The QC Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that all incoming materials and components meet the company's stringent quality standards and specifications. This role is crucial in maintaining the high standards of quality and reliability expected by our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Inspection and Testing:

    • Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials and components using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
    • Verify conformance to specifications and standards through visual and dimensional inspections.
    • Use Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), including Mitutoyo CMM, to inspect parts and ensure they meet quality requirements.
  2. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, including measurements, test results, and any discrepancies.
    • Prepare and submit quality reports and documentation as required by company and regulatory standards.
    • Report any non-conformities or defects to the production and quality management teams.
  3. Compliance and Standards:

    • Ensure all incoming materials comply with industry standards, customer requirements, and company quality policies.
    • Monitor and enforce adherence to quality control procedures and protocols in the receiving process.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and standards.
  4. Continuous Improvement:

    • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency.
    • Participate in quality control training programs and stay updated on the latest industry standards and practices.
    • Collaborate with the production team to address and resolve quality issues.
  5. Equipment Maintenance:

    • Calibrate and maintain inspection tools and equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
    • Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.
  6. Safety and Compliance:

    • Adhere to all safety regulations and practices in the inspection and testing areas.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a QC Inspector or in a similar quality assurance role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and inspection tools, including CMM.
  • Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with production teams.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting purposes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the aerospace industry.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
  • Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) methods.
