Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical procedures and services. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that healthcare providers receive timely and accurate reimbursement for their services.

Duties:
- Review and analyze medical records to determine appropriate coding for procedures and services
- Assign ICD-10 codes to diagnoses and CPT codes to procedures
- Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail
- Follow up on unpaid claims and denials, resolving any billing discrepancies or issues
- Process payments from insurance companies and patients, applying them to patient accounts
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient billing records
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to resolve billing inquiries or disputes
- Stay updated on industry changes in medical coding, billing regulations, and insurance requirements

Skills:

- Proficiency in medical billing software systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Strong knowledge of medical coding systems (ICD-10, ICD-9)
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
