Looking for an X-Ray Technician who can work as a 1099 employee serving patients at Pro Salud Clinic at Little Havana Activities & Nutrition Centers of Dade County, Inc. ("LHANC"). Candidates would be working twice weekly (days TBD) and responsible for providing basic clinical care to patients commensurate with their medical education. Duties include initial clinical evaluations as well as directed procedures for medical care; performing X-Ray testing including body mechanics and patient movement using knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and preparing patients for continued medical evaluations by physicians by taking a brief history, establishing vital signs, recording appropriate documentation on approved forms and recognizing levels of acuity allowing appropriate medical intervention when necessary. The X-Ray Technician will be able to receive instructions from the doctor regarding the X-Rays patients require, as well as getting clear imaging results, which requires proper use of equipment and keeping patients calm and informed throughout the X-ray procedure.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Receives instructions from physician regarding any X-Rays in which a patient may require.
  • Executes physician-directed instructions and obtains clear imaging results.
  • Performs proper use of X-Ray equipment.
  • Follows all compliance and safety protocols for all patients and staff members.
  • Responsible for coordinating receipt and delivery of X-Ray dosimeter through vendor (Laundauer) every three (3) months.
  • Keeping patients calm and informed throughout the X-Ray procedure.
  • Assists with preparation and distribution of OTC bags for patients on a monthly basis or as requested.
  • Reports any technical or maintenance issues related to X-Ray equipment.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

We are a tax-exempt, charitable non-profit corporation that is funded through government grants and private donations.

The Rainbow Intergenerational Learning Center and Child Care Program provides an opportunity for children to develop their maximum potential. The service is offered to working for low-income families. By providing them with access to safe, quality child care services, children of low-income families are prepared to compete on an equal basis with other children of better economic means.
By identifying the obstacles that prevent children from learning, the program enables its children to develop the skills necessary to succeed in their school life.
In addition, parents will find a safe, professional, loving, and culturally sensitive environment for children while they become better informed on issues relative to child rearing.
Rainbow Child Care Services are offered to children between the ages of 0 through 5.
