Job DescriptionJob Description

We are recruiting a Medical Assistant for our client, a surgical clinic, located in Corpus Christi, TX. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for both administrative and clinical tasks ensuring the smooth front and back-end operations of the clinic. This is a great opportunity for someone who is compassionate and interested in directly supporting medical staff on a day-to-day basis.

The typical schedule for this position is Monday – Friday from 8:30 AM – 5 PM, and the pay is $15/hr.

Responsibilities:

  • Interview patients and record their medical history.
  • Measure patients’ vital signs.
  • Help physicians with patient examinations.
  • Utilize an EMR to build patient charts.
  • Schedule surgeries between patients and physicians.
  • Educate patients on pre- and post-surgery care and expectations.
  • Obtain surgery authorizations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as a medical assistant required.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced medical clinic required.
  • Certification from an accredited program a plus.
