D2B Groups is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Quality Control with expertise in ASME Manufacturing. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of quality control within our manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with ASME standards and regulations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality control plans, conduct inspections, and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality control within the manufacturing industry, with a focus on ASME codes and standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the quality control team, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure adherence to ASME manufacturing standards.
  • Develop and implement quality control plans, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with ASME codes and standards.
  • Conduct inspections and audits to ensure that manufacturing processes, products, and documentation meet ASME requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and supply chain, to identify and resolve quality-related issues.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure that necessary certifications and documentation are obtained and maintained to meet ASME requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in ASME codes and standards, and proactively implement necessary updates to quality control processes.
  • Create and maintain quality control metrics and reporting systems to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead investigations and root cause analysis for quality-related incidents or non-conformances, and implement corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure that purchased components and services meet ASME requirements.
  • Maintain a culture of quality throughout the organization, fostering awareness and accountability at all levels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • At least eight (8) years of experience in quality, ASME Section I or VIII, heavy industry, manufacturing, construction, welding, non-destructive testing, and/or other similar fields.
  • At least three (3) years of experience leading and managing direct reports.
  • Excellent time management and written and spoken communication skills, highly professional, organized, and trustworthy team player; proficiency in English.
  • Strong knowledge of ASME standards, including Section VIII, Section IX, and other relevant codes and standards.
  • Experience leading and managing a team of quality control professionals.
  • Proven track record of implementing and improving quality control processes in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to lead investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented mindset and strong organizational skills.
  • ASME certification, such as Certified Quality Control Manager (CQCM), is highly desirable.
