Manero’s is excited to offer a new management position to a qualified and committed candidate. The position is being added due to strong business, continuing improvement innitatives, and reduction in workload of ownership.

The front-of-house (FOH) manager’s working days and hours may vary based on business needs, but they will focus on dinner hours. Work time will be available for administrative and planning activities, but the manager will be on the “floor” of the various dining rooms and service areas during dinner operating hours. The FOH manager will directly supervise the servers, bartenders, bussers, and hosts. The FOH manager, with other managers, will have general authority over all working staff.

After completing probation, the FOH manager will have management authority for operating the restaurant, working in concert with other managers, and reporting to the ownership.

Current and upcoming initiatives include maintaining and growing our customer base and guest frequency, expanding the bar dining area at lunch and dinner, adding patio dining and special events as appropriate, regularly utilizing the Fighting Spirit of Service Academy for staff development and consistency, developing new menus, creating and implementing promotions, improving reporting and analytics, and more.

Primary Activities:

Ensure that customers, staff, and facilities always remain safe.

Provide excellent guest experiences, including table visits at every opportunity.

Supervise and direct service staff for optimal performance.

Resolve guest and staff issues quickly and effectively.

Conduct staff training as needed to maintain standards.

Conduct training for new hires.

Ensure proper staffing by preparing the weekly staff schedule and adjusting the schedule/staffing as necessary for proper staff levels at all times.

Perform nightly check-out procedures for staff, including sidework assignments and reconciling server reports. Perform nightly closing checks of the facility.

Increase profits through growing sales and cost containment - while providing excellent customer value.

Ensure cleanliness and proper repair of the restaurant facility and equipment.

 

Other Activities:

Participate in management and staff meetings.

Maintain and update POS system for menu, loyalty, and timekeeping accuracy.

Generate positive customer reviews for Manero’s.

Ensure compliance with all DBPR regulations and practices.

Support other managers and assist with special projects as assigned by the owner.

Provide ideas and solutions at every opportunity for improvement of Manero’s.

Accuracy, efficiency, and growth of Manero’s “To-go” service.

Fill gaps in staffing when necessary; cover for other managers when they are off.

Engage in professional development on a regular basis.  Proficiency in using the POS and reservation systems, preparing work documents, preparing Excel spreadsheets, using scheduling software, preparing and responding to emails, operating music and lighting controls, activating and deactivating alarm system, good phone and documentation practices, and excellent communication.

Terms of Employment:

This is a full-time salaried, exempt position. The normal work week is five days and 45 hours. However, due to business needs and the manager’s performance, additional time may be required.  The manager's days of work may change from time to time based on business needs.  Upon employment, the manager will enter a 90-day probationary period for training and performance evaluation.  A decision to retain or terminate the manager will be made at the end of the probationary period.  Following the probationary period, the manager will be afforded opportunities for professional development and advancement based on their initiative and performance throughout employment.

Managers must maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information pertaining to Manero’s business, trade secrets, employee information, and customer data.

Manero’s managers and staff must adhere to all applicable regulations, including DBPR and state and local laws. 

Managers must avoid conflicts of interest with other managers, staff, customers, purveyors, outside interests, or others that may contribute to impartial decision-making or legal liability.

Managers must positively represent Manero’s while employed at the company—whether working or off duty.  Good judgment is a criterion for continuing employment.
