Position: Forklift Operator

Pay Rate: $19.00 /hourly

Location: Tracy, CA

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety protocols, as well as demonstrated experience operating forklifts in a fast-paced environment. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving and storing materials and products, as well as maintaining equipment and inventory records.

Responsibilities: 

  • Remove all finished logs from the mold line to the appropriate storage area in a safe and timely manner.
  • Follow Peeler schedule and set logs in to be peeled in a safe and timely manner
  • Operate forklift trucks in a controlled and safe manner.
  • Perform daily forklift truck inspections and document.
  • Employ safe handling practices concerning all products in order to eliminate or minimize transportation damages. 
  • Assist the Mold Panel operator, when necessary.
  • Maintain effective inter-department communication.
  • Transports unfinished logs from the log racks and log storage areas to the peeler staging area.
  • Perform rebond scrap removal from the finish line to the grinding room for re-cycling.
  • Obtain and prepare film and netting for the lamination lines as needed
  • Employ safe handling practices concerning all products in order to eliminate or minimize transportation damages.
  • Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities related to product, process and/or the system.
  • Identify and/or record any problems relating to the product, process and the quality system:
  • Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
  • Verify the implementation of solutions.
  • Control further processing, delivery or installation of non-conforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety protocols
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
