Job brief
We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Clerk to be responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.

Accounts Payable Specialist Responsibilities:
  • Process and input vendor invoices accurately and efficiently through Great Plains system
  • Prepare and perform weekly check runs and electronic payments
  • Maintain vendor relationships and address inquiries in a professional manner
  • Provide weekly payment information to Suppliers.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve any discrepancies
  • Perform Vendor set up and maintenance
  • Assist with Intercompany AP and AR reconcile
  • Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reporting
  • Assist with outside Audit requests
  • Monitor incoming emails through the A/P email address
  • Other ad hoc tasks, as required or assigned.
  • Process and manage 1099 forms

Accounts Payable Specialist Skills/Qualifications:
  • Associates degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Ability to work independently and on a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft: Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written correspondence
  • Superior accuracy and high level of attention to detail
