We are currently looking for an ITAD Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT Asset Disposition department. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient, secure, and environmentally responsible reuse, disposal and recycling of IT assets. The ITAD Supervisor will manage a team of technicians and work closely with other departments to optimize processes, maintain compliance with industry standards, and provide exceptional service to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Supervision:
    • Supervise and manage ITAD technicians, provide training, and guidance.
    • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the ITAD department.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
    • Maximize the extraction of value from each customer load in line with the agreed upon contractual obligations.
  • Operations Management:
    • Oversee the receiving, inventory, data destruction, and disposition of IT assets.
    • Coordinate the movement and storage of IT assets.
    • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Data Security and Compliance:
    • Ensure all data destruction processes meet or exceed industry standards (e.g., NIST, DOD).
    • Maintain detailed records of data destruction and asset disposition for audit purposes.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
    • Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve service delivery.
    • Lead initiatives to incorporate new technologies and methods into ITAD processes.
  • Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):
    • Promote a culture of safety within the ITAD department.
    • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and address any identified issues promptly.

What you need to succeed:

  • 3-5 years of experience in IT asset disposition or a related field
  • Proven effective leadership and supervisory skills
  • Strong understanding of data destruction methods and IT asset management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office products, specifically Excel
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, team members, and other stakeholders
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., NIST, DOD, R2, e-Stewards)
  • Ability to lift and move IT equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to endure prolonged periods of standing and walking
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures
  • Appreciation for and physical tolerance of regular exposure to electronic waste and IT equipment
  • Regular use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
