The Medical Center For Birds is seeking a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician. We are a Veterinary Clinic in Oakley, CA dedicated to the health and well-being of Avian species. Duties include assisting veterinarians in exam rooms; calculating and administering treatments to hospitalized patients, obtaining radiograph films and CT imaging on patients, setting up the surgery room and performing anesthesia on patients, lab-work, and more. We are growing patient-centered practice with 6 veterinarians, 4 receptionists, 3 kennel technicians, and currently 7 technicians.

Prerequisites:

  • Must be a Registered Veterinarian Technician OR currently enrolled in a Veterinary Technician program to obtain your RVT or LVT license.
  • Must be able to work full-time, either 4 10-hour shifts or 5 8-hour shifts
  • Must have availability on Saturday and/or Sundays, and some holidays
  • Some knowledge of the Avian species is preferred but we are willing to train anyone who has an enthusiasm for avian species.
