Job Summary

  • Fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs Plastic Bonding, Welding and Material Handling Equipment.

General Accountabilities

  • Determines project requirements, including scope, assembly sequences, and required methods and materials, according to blueprints, drawings, and written or verbal instructions
  • Lays out, measures, and marks dimensions and reference lines on material, according to drawings or templates, using calculators, scribes, dividers, squares, and rulers
  • Drills and punches holes in metal, for screws, bolts, and rivets
  • Analyzes assembly drawings and specifications; Plans assembly or building operations
  • Verifies the components to the assembly drawings before installing them
  • Positions and aligns components for assembly manually or with a hoist
  • Sets and verifies clearance of parts
  • Responsible for assembling fabricated and purchased parts using assembly drawings and parts lists provided by engineering
  • Fastens components or parts together, using hand tools, pneumatic/electric equipment and other tools for assembly
  • Installation and startup support at customers facility
  • To keep working area clean and organized
  • Problem solving based on past machine building knowledge
  • Working knowledge of pneumatics and how to plumb
  • Knowledge of Bridgeports, Lathes, and other types of machinery
  • Some travel required to support machine installation in the field (Travel averages 10-20% and is compensated)
  • We are a preferred Fanuc integrator.

Job Qualifications

  • Education: Completion of formal apprenticeship or technical college program preferred
  • Experience: At least 3 years' Experience In Machine Building And Pneumatics Experience.
  • Robotic experience preferred (Fanuc, Toyota, Yaskawa, ABB)
