The Site Superintendent is responsible for supervising and coordinating all on-site activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time. Also, the superintendent liaises with architects, project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders (in the field), ensuring compliance with contracts and government regulations.

Duties

 

  • Project Planning: Work with the Project Manager and other stakeholders to develop project plans, including schedules, manpower requirements, and material

 

  • Site Management: Supervise and coordinate all on-site activities, ensuring that the work is being executed in compliance with project plans and government regulations. Supervise the daily construction activities at the site. Ensure completion of all government


  • Technical Knowledge: Review and analyze blueprints, drawings, and specifications, ensuring that the construction and installation activities meet the project's technical requirements and

 

  • Material Ordering Submittals and Logistics: Submit requests to Jr. PM for materials, equipment, and supplies that are for the project site, minimize the wastage of materials and manage the logistics of these


  • Communication: Communicate progress, delays, and issues to the Jr. Project Manager, filed stakeholders, and other members of the DSG Project Team regularly. Address issues and concerns raised by stakeholders and take action to resolve

 

  • Quality Control and Safety: Ensure that work is performed to the required level of quality and safety measures are strictly adhered to, including compliance with environmental, health, and safety


  • Subcontractor Development: Identify + Vet new subcontractors in all trades to add to the DSG Subcontractor

 

  • Business Development: Identify + Present Business opportunities to the Sr. Program Manager for DSG Consideration. (City of Chicago, State of IL, State of WI, Lake County, and )

 

  • Reporting: Complete all daily, weekly, and monthly reports required by stakeholders. Complete all DSG reports required for project

 

  • Project Management Systems: Learn to use all required project management systems per contract requirements. Perform all necessary system-oriented tasks as assigned and prior to due

 

  • Teaming: Work in tandem with all DSG field personnel to complete projects

Requirements

 

  • 3-5 years of experience in construction management
  • Proficiency in project management
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational and problem-solving
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local government regulations and procurement procedures
