A heavy equipment service and repair company, who supports a paving construction company and two aggregate plants, is seeking to hire a full-time bilingual MRO Buyer (Maintenance, Repair and Operations Buyer). This position seeks out and purchases the required parts, supplies, or services in a timely and cost effective manner for the organization. The bilingual MRO Buyer is responsible for the execution and facilitation of the entire purchasing cycle and supervision of the company runners.

The Candidate will be expected to work in team and independent environments, have a high level of interpersonal skills, and a strong, professional work ethic. Required Skill Sets:

  • Bilingual: English/Spanish
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Effective verbal and listening skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Good written communication skills with an emphasis on correct grammar and correct mechanical terminology.
  • Moderate computer skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
  • Typing skills: 30 WPM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Purchasing parts, supplies, or services.
  • Inventory management.
  • Generate and manage purchase orders.
  • Developing and maintaining vendor relationships.
  • Supervise and manage employee runners.
  • Work closely with shop employees and office management.
  • Filing.

Desired Experience:

  • 1 year minimum buyer experience in industrial/construction parts.
  • Knowledge in functions and applications of mechanics, electrics, and hydraulics.
  • Computer skills.

Compensation:

  • Salary will be commensurate within the listed compensation range based on qualifications and experience.

Special Considerations/Requirements:

  • Must be trainable.
  • Must have a valid driver’s Class C License.
