Job DescriptionJob Description

   Responsibilities:

·         Identifies patient’s needs by performing an initial exam, evaluate medical record and doctor’s referral and determine a diagnosis

·         Communicates effectively with doctors, nurses, and case managers

·         Consults with patients and develop a treatment plan

·         Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records

·         Performs therapeutic procedures by administering manual exercises; instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-living activities; and in using supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, and prostheses

·         Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens; giving normal growth and development information; promoting wellness and health maintenance.

·         Provides continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans.

·         Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.

Requirements:

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy

·         Physical Therapist License

·         Entry level position

·         Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred

·         Ability and willingness to work flexible hours

·         Must be able to apply common sense reasoning to carry out instructions

·         Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English

·         Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively

·         Must possess a strong attention to detail

·         Must be able to tolerate long periods of standing, squatting, kneeling, and bending
