Development and Commercialization Project Manager

Department: General & Admin, Solutions
Location: Carol Stream, IL
Type: Full Time

The Prinova Solutions Development and Commercialization Project Manager will provide customer project coordination and support to the Solutions GM, Solutions Business Development Manager, and Commercial Account Managers for moving Premix and Total Solutions projects through Solutions R&D to commercialization. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frames.  This includes setting scope, teams, tasks, timing and critical paths for projects. 
  • Deliver projects within specification, deadlines and budget.  Identify, monitor and mitigate project risks.
  • Business Development Project Management
    • Support opportunity development, entry, and closing
    • Provide sales reps and commercial managers on Salesforce direction and training
    • Management and coordination of cross division projects;  takes initiative to follow up and expedite where needed
    • Follow up with sales reps on open opportunities
  • Commercialization project management
    • Maintain and execute the process for new and revised products
    • Monitor timelines and report KPIs
    • Ensure coordination of R&D, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Operations for new products
    • Work with Account Managers to ensure info gathered effectively and submission timelines are met
  • Prepares project reports and status updates, creates and make timely presentations on status of active projects and opportunity pipeline 
  • Additional duties as deemed necessary by both the Solutions Commercial team.

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of applicable experience in project management and administration, preferably in food & beverage or nutrition industries
  • Aptitude to develop skills to converse with Procurement, R&D, and Quality personnel at customers to work thru formulation opportunities
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and planning skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability and a high sense of urgency.
  • Team player, “get it done” attitude, and a willingness to add value at all levels

 

Education and/or experience

  • BS Degree
  • Formulation, R&D, Food Science a plus

 

Computer Skills

  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint are a must (Word and PPT higher level)
  • MS Outlook
  • Salesforce.com a plus
  • Docuware a plus
