A&K Railroad Materials Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC machines and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. You will work closely with our production team to perform preventive maintenance, address mechanical and electrical issues, and ensure the overall reliability of our CNC operations. This is a critical position that requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform assigned preventative maintenance work, ensuring strict adherence to i
  • Diagnose problems with CNC mills and lathes including electro-mechanical, operational, electrical/electronic and overall equipment problems.
  • Troubleshoot, install, service, rebuild and perform maintenance as necessary.
  • Analyze error codes and determine requirements for repair.
  • Repair and replace drives as necessary.
  • Recommend additional services or the purchase of additional equipment.
  • Determine, order and replace parts as necessary.
  • Locate and schedule outside technical assistance as required.

Requirements:

Requirements/ Qualifications:

  • CNC machine tool troubleshooting and repair experience.
  • Experience with Siemens controllers.
  • Experience with G-code.
  • Experience on honing machine.
  • Experience with linear scales.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams.
  • Experience with 3-axis and 5-axis Cincinnati profilers and mills.
  • Knowledge of changing spindles and ball screws.
  • Hands-on knowledge of volt meters, oscilloscopes and other test/measuring equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand direction and procedure manuals.
  • Any experience with Servos, motion controls and PLC’s is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, stretch, crouch, and stoop.
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements.
  • Ability to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
