Position Overview: Join our team at Barnsco Texas as a Shipping & Receiving Lead, where you'll play a pivotal role in our inventory control operations. Reporting directly to the Inventory Control Manager, this position involves overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and shipment of materials, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to all stakeholders.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve department goals.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Accurately verify incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Review shipping and receiving documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • File all delivery and inventory receipts promptly.
  • Audit receiving paperwork for discrepancies and report findings.
  • Assist in organizing and executing year-end inventory and audits.
  • Work with the Inventory Control Manager to implement strategies to reduce shrink and enhance inventory control.
  • Support month-end closing procedures as directed.
  • Label incoming and outgoing goods packed on pallets or in boxes.
  • Report any inventory shipment discrepancies promptly.
  • Safely relocate materials to designated storage areas.
  • Monitor and respond to incoming email inquiries promptly.
  • Utilize the Bistrack operating system to ensure accurate inventory management.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Word preferred.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to work in varying temperatures depending on the season.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
