Midwest Staffing Group is looking for experienced and/or knowledgeable Slitter Operators for a leading company located in Plymouth, MN.

*DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY*

Shifts Available: 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am (Rotating 3 on, 3 off, 2 on, 2 off)

Position: Slitter Operator

Slitter Operators' are responsible for the preparation and processing of the material.

Slitter Operator responsibilities' include:

  • Perform set ups and operate slitter, rewind printed stock into equal rolls, with a tabletop edge.
  • Perform Loading and unloading roll on machine
  • Lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Remove damages/defects on rolls including splices.
  • Start up the machine and observe flow of material through machine, make adjustment to machine according to material type.
  • Secure completed rolls together and secure the rolls to a pallet for shipping
  • Maintain machine cleanliness and preventative maintenance.
  • Document daily times and production logs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Slitter Operator required Education and Experience:

  • 2 to 5 years’ experience; will provide additional training for the right applicant. Excellent English written and spoken skills.
  • Be able to read a tape measure and understand basic math.
  • Execute with verbal work instructions.
  • Must have a high school Diploma or equivalent.
  • No job hopping; experience must be consecutive.
  • Must be able to complete and pass a background check.
  • Must be able to provide acceptable documents for employment verification.
  • Must be able to complete a drug screening.
