Beck Oil, Inc. is hiring for a Commercial Sales Manager to join our team in Victorville, CA
Beck Oil, Inc. operates commercial cardlock fueling locations along with our Fleet Card office on Turner Road in Victorville, California. We are also a supplier of several brands of lubricants as well as chemicals, solvents, DEF, off-road diesel, several blends of Bio-Diesel, racing fuel, and all grades of gasoline.
Position Overview:
This leadership role manages and oversees the overall sales and productivity across the Commercial customer base. Develops and implements strategic objectives to ensure the Sales teams are working effectively and harmoniously to increase gallons and gross profits of all products and services sold.
Schedule: Hybrid or remote schedules will be considered, with 75% travel within the Inland Empire.
Daily Tasks and Duties:
- Hire, train, mentor and develop Sales staff for the Territory Sales team throughout the geographical areas of operation. (Inland Empire, High and Low Deserts)
- Determines the best way to allocate, direct and motivate Sales teams to grow Sales efforts, increase customer retention and margins and improve the customer experience.
- Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with key strategic partners.
- Builds and maintains strong, long-term relationships with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating and capitalizing on new opportunities.
- Negotiates and submits proposals that place the company in a position to succeed operationally and financially.
- Identifies internal opportunities for growth and increased profitability.
- Analyzes commission reports, sales reports, and CRM activity for profitability and accuracy.
- Adjusts customer pricing based on current market conditions.
- Maintains close contact with Operations Mangers, such that customer expectations are met and/or exceeded.
- Participates in monthly Financial Review meetings.
- Initiates new ideas and/or areas of growth opportunities.
- Prepares monthly sales summary reports outlining Sales activities, GP reporting, customer retention, etc.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree from an U.S. accredited College/University in Marketing or Business preferred.
2. 5 years of experience in Outside Sales with a minimum of 3-year sales management in the Oil and Gas industry.
3. Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history.
4. Must have excellent oral and written communications and effective customer relations skills.
5. Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, squat, reach, crouch and kneel. Also required to spend long hours in vehicle, traveling to and from customer locations throughout the assigned territory.
