Shipper

Summary:

Ensure orders are shipped to meet the customers’ expectations. In addition to variety of duties that support the shipping department and freight forwarder to assure on-time shipments. Creates shipping documentation, maintains records, and coordinates logistics for product shipment.

Responsibilities:

· Count and check products for accuracy and quality, maintain accurate records, report overages and shortages, & participate in cycle counts

· Review open customer orders on to efficiently meet the customer shipping schedule and satisfy the requested ship dates

· Assembles Shipping documentation for proof of shipment, including providing tracking or shipping history information to internal and external customers on request

· Prepare boxes and skids with appropriate labels and documentation for shipments

· Notifies a supervisor/manager if there are issues with overages/shortages or quality products

· Attach labels and packing slips as needed for domestic and international shipping

· Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

· Basic math and computer skills

· Must be able to stand at workstation for long periods of time

· Pack, weigh, and label completed items for shipment or storage

· Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ability to learn, and ability to prioritize multiple assignments to meet deadlines and goals despite unexpected setbacks, obstacles, or time constraints

Education, Experience, Licenses and Certifications:

· High School or equivalent

· One year of shipping experience or in a distribution environment
