Job DescriptionJob Description

Mechanical company based in Bohemia NY is seeking a Bookkeeper/Admin to assist during a Maternity leave.

This person should have 3 years of Bookkeeping/Payroll experience and wants to continue gaining experience.

The position is paying up to $34/hour and the company wants to hire someone ASAP

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clerical and administrative support, including typing, filing, copying, and preparing documents
  • Handle Accounts Payable tasks efficiently
  • Process Payroll and weekly taxes accurately
  • Assist Project Management staff as needed
  • Complete administrative tasks with critical thinking and attention to detail
  • Ensure timely resolution of issues and follow up on pending matters
  • Answer phone calls promptly and courteously
  • Display dependability and efficiency in job tasks

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree preferred
  • Three or more years of experience in an administrative/bookkeeping role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office application
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Courteous and customer-oriented attitude
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure
