Position Title: Director
Reports to: President
Department: Home & Community Based Services
FLSA Status: Exempt
Starting Pay Rate: Depends on Qualifications (DOQ)

Objective:
To provide professional, quality program services to the clients served by the Home Based Community Service (HCBS). The Director in (HCBS) provides administrative oversight of a designated number of houses under the direct supervision of the CEO. This person has a background in management. Provides direction in mental health crisis situations as well as give administrative guidance within the licensing rules governing (HCBS).

Qualifications:
• Master's degree in the behavioral sciences or related field & two years of experience providing services to mentally ill person      OR Baccalaureate Degree & 4 years of experience providing services to mentally ill persons.
• One year training or experience in administration or supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for overseeing aspects of assigned facilities programming.
• Complete clinical assessments for appropriateness of placement of clients referred to Adult Faster Care for services. Arranges for admission of potential residents.
• On-call for mental health crises and other emergencies.
• Responsible for meeting DHS Rule 245D and County licensure requirements.
• Develop and update policies and procedures to ensure compliance with any and all regulatory agencies.
• Responsible for review and resolution of designated resident grievances.
• Provide regular evaluation and update of services.
• Attend all appropriate community provider meetings.
• Accountable for inspections by regulatory agencies for designated houses.
• Maintain designated facilities and programs in accordance with licensure and agency standards.
• Investigate and report suspected incidents of abuse, neglect, and/or financial exploitation of residents under Vulnerable Adult Law.
• Maintain regular communication with designated county divisions, including Community & Home based Services, Mental Health and CADI/TBI.
• Work with CEO, Program Manager, & Caregivers to ensure financial accountability of each site.
• Create and implement individual treatment plans, emergency service plans, individual abuse prevention plans, and cognitive behavioral plans for clients entering services in conjunction with the Program Managers.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Education, Psychology or other similar majors to fulfill qualifications for QMRP.

2. A valid Minnesota driver's license and satisfactory driving record.

3. The ability to use clear and understandable written and verbal English.

4. A minimum of 2 years in a leadership position in a group home setting.

5. The ability to demonstrate strong decision-making skills.

6. Proficiency in leading staff and guiding performance.

7. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word and Outlook.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. The ability to speak Somali is preferred, but however not required
