We're currently seeking a Senior Design Engineer for a leading industrial equipment manufacturer in Franklin Park, IL. You'll play a vital role in the design, re-design of capital equipment, and aftermarket components. Also, creating the BOMs, blueprints, calculations, and evaluating/troubleshooting the systems.

​Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related degree
    • A master's degree is a PLUS.
  • 5+ years of experience as a mechanical or design engineer.
    • Within an OEM or Machine Builder.
    • Machine Design Experience.
    • Designing components, parts, assemblies.
  • Experience with 3D Cad Software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo)
  • Has strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working at a Machine Builder or OEM is a PLUS
  • Experience with PLCs, switches, relays, automation, or anything electrical.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the evaluation, design, and re-design of capital equipment and applicable after-market components through analysis of current application parameters.
  • Creating bills of materials for newly designed products.
  • Creating electrical/mechanical drawings.
  • Devising test procedures for completed equipment to confirm operation and metrics meet design requirements.
  • Problem-solving, design work, data analysis, and project management in the pursuit of the team goals.
  • Mechanical design work, drawings, and calculations, for the execution of capital project investments.
