Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate must have a robust working knowledge of clinical tasks and be adept in performing various medical procedures. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent organizational skills and a strong motivation to provide exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform Electrocardiograms (EKGs): Conduct accurate EKG tests and ensure proper documentation of results.
  • Administer Injections: Skillfully give injections as directed by the healthcare provider, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Conduct Urinalysis: Perform routine and specialized urinalysis tests with precision and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist with Procedures: Support the doctor during medical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment is prepared and maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Take Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood glucose levels.
  • Charting in EMR Systems: Efficiently document patient information, medical histories, and test results in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in performing EKGs, administering injections, conducting urinalysis, and taking comprehensive vital signs.
  • EMR Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with electronic medical record systems.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities, with a knack for managing multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
