Assistant Project Manager

The Role
The Assistant Project Manager will support the Sr. Project Manager in overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of civil construction projects. This role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Project Support:
Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, schedules, and progress reports.
Site Management:
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Support on-site activities, including coordinating the work of various trades and resolving any issues that arise.
Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
Budget and Cost Control:
Track project expenses and assist in monitoring budget adherence.
Help prepare cost estimates and change orders.
Support the procurement process and assist in managing contracts.
Communication and Reporting:
Maintain effective communication with all project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and team members.
Prepare regular status reports and participate in project meetings to provide updates on project progress and issues.
Assist in resolving any conflicts or disputes that arise during the project.
Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained and maintained throughout the project.
Maintain accurate and organized project documentation for reference and compliance purposes.
Additional Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned by the Sr. Project Manager.
Requirements:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil construction or project management.
Familiarity with PM systems such as Procore, HCCS, or other relevant systems.
