Responsibilities
•\tReceive and direct phone calls, schedule appointments, check-in patients, obtain necessary patient information to file and update patient records, and ensure all forms and consents are completed by patients
•\tCheck-out patients, assist with referral processing, and arrange laboratory services
•\tHandle billing process
•\tPrepare patients for examination, take vitals, and record patients' health history
•\tSet-up EKG machines, administer injections and medications, and perform routine specimen collection and tests
•\tPrepare equipment and examination rooms,
•\tAssist physician with medical treatments, procedures, and exams
•\tKnowledge of Pulmonary Medicine
•\tAdditional Duties as requested
Qualifications
•\tHigh school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited medical assistance certification program preferred
•\tExcellent interpersonal skills
•\tAbility to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner at all times
•\tMust be detail-oriented and highly organized
•\tFirm grasp on medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies
•\tKnowledge of patient care and examination procedures
•\tMust be able to maintain confidentiality at all times/HIPPA
•\tDemonstrate computer skills appropriate
•\tTeamwork
•\tComply with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and standards regarding safety and infection control
•\tAdhere to Policy and Procedures
•\tDemonstrate ability to follow directions
•\tPerform routine equipment care and maintenance and inventory evaluation
•\tCalibrations on required equipment
•\tMaintain and update patient records
•\tMonitor patient safety and adhere to patient safety protocols
•\tAbility to lift 10lbs, occasionally more
