ER Charge Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated ER Charge Nurse to join our client's team and lead by example.

The ER Charge Nurse is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Emergency Department. This position involves direct patient care, supervision of nursing staff, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest patient care and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in emergency nursing, excellent communication skills, and a strong ability to manage and prioritize in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to the ED nursing staff.
  • Coordinate patient care activities to ensure optimal outcomes and efficient workflow.
  • Serve as a resource and mentor for staff, promoting professional development and excellence in nursing practice.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among the healthcare team.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet the needs of the department.
  • Handle patient and family concerns with compassion and professionalism.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of departmental goals.

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license in Montana
  • BSN required; MSN preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency nursing.
  • Previous leadership or charge nurse experience strongly preferred.
  • Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN) preferred.
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
