Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist with strong payroll expertise and proven experience with UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) to join our dynamic HR team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of human resources functions, including payroll processing, employee relations, benefits administration, recruitment, and compliance with employment laws.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Management:

    • Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time using UKG software.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
    • Address payroll discrepancies and provide support to employees regarding payroll-related inquiries.
  • Employee Relations:

    • Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
    • Facilitate employee performance management processes and assist with conflict resolution.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding:

    • Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and draft job descriptions.
    • Manage the recruitment process, from sourcing candidates to conducting interviews and facilitating onboarding.
  • Benefits Administration:

    • Oversee employee benefits enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
    • Ensure compliance with benefits regulations and assist employees with benefits-related questions.
  • Compliance and Record Keeping:

    • Ensure HR practices comply with local, state, and federal employment laws.
    • Maintain accurate employee records in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.
  • HR Projects:

    • Participate in HR projects and initiatives, including employee engagement, training and development, and performance tracking.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes and practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist, with a focus on payroll processing.
  • Proficient in UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) software; additional experience with HRIS systems is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations within the UK.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to HR challenges.
