Our client, a leader in biotechnology, is looking for a Product Planner to join their growing team

Pay: $20-$30/hr

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, and monitor material movement to meet production schedules.
  • Determine material requirements from BRP, MRP, and customer orders.
  • Recommend and execute internal make kanban levels.
  • Research and implement inventory management improvements.
  • Coordinate and monitor production activity for smooth material flow.
  • Measure schedule attainment, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage sub-contract purchase orders and reconcile invoices/receipts.
  • Troubleshoot scheduling issues and maintain records of production and material deficiencies.
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities and manage engineering changes.
  • Participate in product teams and support new product introductions (NPI).
  • Assist with quoting for make parts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in production planning/materials management in a manufacturing setting, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Strong understanding of production planning principles (MRP, Capacity Planning, ERPII).
  • APICS certification is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • U.S. Citizenship required, with the ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance.
