Discover Montessori Academy is a vibrant campus located in Parrish, FL. Our Montessori offers early childhood education from ages 18 months - 2nd grade. Our school nurtures curiosity, independence and self-discovery. We provide hands-on curriculum to create an engaging environment for young minds to learn for the future, today.

Montessori is a method of education that is based on self-directed learning. Students make intuitive choices to learn at their own pace while the teachers guide, direct, and personalize each lesson to each individual needs. The curriculum is based from the Montessori Method as it follows the OCCI Montessori Principle: Order, concentration, coordination, independence.

POSITION

We are looking for a Full-Time Montessori Primary Lead Teacher. This program ranges from ages 3 - 6 years-old. You will observe each child and the classroom community as a whole to make adaptations when needed. Lesson-planning revolves around the Montessori Method and is required to support each child's development. You will assist the Toddler Teacher when needed with ages 18 months - 3 years-old. A calm, nurturing, prepared Montessori environment in a necessity.

HOURS

Full Time Monday-Friday. 8am-3:30pm.

Hours may extend with aftercare if needed.

COMPENSATION

36-40k Salary (Based on previous experience)

40 Hours Per Week

QUALIFICATIONS

-High School Diploma

-Florida Driver's License

-Pass Background check

-CPR Certification

-Montessori Certification

-Two years of experience in a classroom setting

-40 Hour Child Care Certification (Currently Enrolled/Completed) 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

You must love kids and have a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the kids' lives for the future following the Montessori Principles. Teacher's must communicating effectively and interpersonally with students and parents. This position works with students of diverse backgrounds, abilities, and ages.

You must arrive punctually and think quickly on your feet. We have a small staff who does their part to maintain a teamwork environment. You will guide and build structure accordingly to the Montessori Method and meet help assist each students. Teachers follow the OCCI Montessori Principle and offers appropriate activities to guide the process.
